  1. I love your list! "Emma" is so, so great. In general it gets less love than "Pride and Prejudice," "Sense and Sensibility," and "Persuasion," but I once read a really interesting essay that pointed out that in tone "Emma" lies in between the lighthearted P&P and the more serious, mature Persuasion. Sometimes it's harder to appreciate the middle ground. But I think you'll love it. Anyway, "Doctor Zhivago" and "War and Peace" are on my classics list too, and it'll be a miracle if I actually get through them. Good luck and happy reading.
